Feeding Therapy

At The Therapy SPOT, we believe mealtimes should be about more than simply getting children to eat. Our feeding therapy takes a neurodiversity-affirming, relationship-based approach that supports children in developing comfort, confidence, and connection with food.

Our therapists look beyond “picky eating” to understand what may be making eating difficult—including sensory differences, oral-motor skills, regulation, motor planning, communication, and the child’s individual experiences and preferences. We use play, connection, and individualized strategies to help children gradually expand their food experiences without pressure or shame.

Our goal isn't to make children eat a certain way. It's to help children feel safe, supported, and successful around food while building the skills they need to participate in mealtimes.

Feeding therapy may support children who experience challenges with food variety, sensory sensitivities, chewing or oral-motor skills, mealtime participation, or anxiety and stress around eating.
