Sensory Processing & behavior
This presentation will help parents and professionals understand sensory processing and what it looks like when a child is having trouble processing sensory information. It will also explain how sensory processing challenges impacts a child’s ability to regulate his or her attention and emotions, which may result in negative behaviors. Strategies to support these children will also be discussed. This topic can be modified within the time range of 1-3 hours.
Motor Planning, Problem Solving, & Social Skills
This presentation will help parents and professionals understand the complex skill, ‘motor planning’ and how it impacts problem solving, social interactions, and learning in an academic setting. Participants will be provided information about identifying children with possible motor planning challenges, as well as strategies they can try to support these children. This topic can be modified within the time range of 1-3 hours.
Attention, Regulation, & Engagement
This presentation will help parents and professionals understand the development of regulation and engagement and how these skills are necessary for attention and learning. Discussion regarding identifying children who struggle with these skills will be included, as well as discussion of strategies that can be effective. This topic can be modified within the time range 1-2 hours.
Visual Development & Processing
This presentation will review the development of visual skills, both ocular motor and perceptual, as they relate to attention and learning. Participants will be educated on how to identify children who may be struggling with their visual systems as well as what they can do to help. This topic can be modified within the time range of 1-2 hours.
Language Development & Processing
This presentation will review the development of language based skills with a focus on identifying potential language related difficulties in children as well as modifications to support these children. This topic can be modified within the time range of 1-2 hours.
Regulation and Behavior
This presentation will review emotional regulation and children with challenging behaviors, including strategies to support their growth. This topic typically lasts about 1 –2 hours
Gestalt Language Processing
This presentation will discuss a unique way that many autistic individuals learn and processing language as well as general tips and strategies for facilitating language development with these children. This topic can be modified within the time range of 1-2 hours.
AAC & Communication Devices
This presentation will discuss the use of AAC (augmentative alternative communication) to support children with language differences. The focus will be on how to incorporate this type of communication across environments and general tips and strategies for working with these children. This presentation can be modified within the time range of 1-2 hours.
Supporting Neurodivergent kids Across Environments
This presentation will discuss the neurodiversity affirming movement and how we can support our neurodivergent kids (those who are developing on a different path), within this model to be the best version of themselves. This presentation can be modified to be within 1-2 hours.
Parenting to Support Emotional Development
This presentation will discuss strategies for parents to support a child’s emotional development, which can also be adapted to educators and therapists to be used across environments. This topic typically lasts about 1-1.5 hours.
Limiting Screen Time
This presentation will discuss the impact of screen time in children across many developmental skill areas as well as strategies to minimize the impact. This topic typically lasts about 1 hour.
Picky Eaters
This presentation will discuss children who are picky eaters– how to identify those children and strategies to support them across environments. This topic typically lasts about 1-1.5 hrs.
Fine Motor Development
This presentation will discuss the progression of fine motor skills and help you identify children who may be strug-gling with these skills, as well as strategies to support them. This presentation typically lasts about 1 hr.
Activities of Daily Living (ADLS): Promoting Independence in our Kids
This presentation is often broken up into components such as: age appropriate expectations for independence at home and strategies to address these for kids who may be struggling; sleep through the lifespan and non-medical strategies; potty training tips and tricks.
Sibling Rivalry
It is not uncommon for siblings to have difficulties getting along. This presentation will discuss strategies to sup-port our kids when they have conflict with siblings (or peers), so they can strengthen their conflict resolution skills.
