The health and safety of our patients and staff are important to us. In light of the recent Coronavirus outbreaks in the state, The Therapy SPOT will be implementing the following precautionary measures:
Illness Policy Measures
In addition to our current illness policy, we ask that patients do not come to therapy who have respiratory symptoms such as runny nose, coughing, or sneezing. In addition, we ask that caregivers and siblings who have these symptoms stay home.
Limiting Contact Measures
We ask that families leave siblings at home whenever possible. Parents are also welcome to wait in their car while their child is in therapy if they wish.
Handwashing Measures
All patients are asked to please wash their hands before and after their therapy sessions. Staff will continue to wash hands between patients.
Disinfecting Measures
We will continue our current policy to disinfect the lobby, equipment and session items between patients, but with increased frequency and thoroughness. Please be patient with our staff as this may mean a longer wait for your therapist.
Discontinuing Tools Measures
We will increase our use of paper products for feeding sessions whenever possible. The use of oral sensory tools, theraputty, playdough, and tactile bins will be temporarily discontinued.
Communication Measures
If you or your child have come into contact with the virus, we ask that you immediately notify our office so that additional precautionary measures can be taken.
We will be continually following the situation and will update our policies to ensure patient and staff safety. Follow us on Facebook or sign up for email alerts for the latest updates.
